Overview

KioPlinth is an iPad kiosk browser app that displays a website chosen by the device owner. KioPlinth is designed to collect as little information as possible.

Information KioPlinth Collects

KioPlinth does not collect personal information on developer-owned servers. The app stores kiosk settings locally on the iPad, such as the default website URL, display settings, passcode hash, subscription entitlement state, and optional device label.

Websites You Load

KioPlinth displays websites chosen by the device owner. Those websites may collect information through their own forms, cookies, analytics, scripts, or server logs. KioPlinth does not control the privacy practices of websites you load.

Heartbeat Monitoring

If enabled by the device owner, KioPlinth may send heartbeat requests to a customer-configured HTTPS endpoint. These requests may include operational information such as app version, timestamp, current URL host, subscription state, and a user-set device label. KioPlinth does not operate or store heartbeat data.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. KioPlinth receives subscription entitlement information from Apple so the app can unlock subscribed features. KioPlinth does not receive full payment card details.

Data Sharing

KioPlinth does not sell personal information and does not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs in the recommended v1 implementation.
